Privacy policy

You trust us with sensitive documents: passports, civil records, background checks. This policy explains what we do with them, in plain words.

1. Controller

Translate24 LLC, Seattle, Washington, United States. Contact: service@translate24.io.

2. What data we process

  • Your documents and their translations, including the personal data they contain.
  • Your contact details: email and, if you provide them, name and phone.
  • Order data: pages, price, status, dates and downloads.
  • Minimal technical data to protect the site from abuse (IP address, temporarily).

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

3. What we use it for

  • Translating and certifying your documents and delivering them to you.
  • Reviewing translation quality before delivery.
  • Emailing you about your order.
  • Billing, accounting and complying with the law.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

Only those we need to provide the service:

  • Success Communications Service (Colombia) — translates and certifies your documents. This involves an international transfer of your documents to Colombia.
  • Google Cloud (United States, us-west1 region) — server and file storage.
  • Supabase (United States, Oregon) — order database.
  • Google Workspace — email.
  • Anthropic — automated quality review: its Claude model compares the original with the translation. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not train models on this content and deletes inputs and outputs within 30 days, except for legal or usage-policy exceptions.
  • Cloudflare — domain and bot protection.
  • Stripe — payment processing. We never see or store your card details.

5. How long we keep it

  • Original documents and translations: 4 months after delivery, so you can download them again while your process moves forward. Then we delete them.
  • Cancelled or refunded orders: their documents are deleted 4 months after the cancellation or refund.
  • Unpaid orders: deleted, with their files, after 7 days.
  • Order data without documents (code, dates, amounts): as long as accounting and tax law requires.

At Success Communications Service (Colombia): under its information-handling rules, the translation stays on its online verification platform for up to 4 months (this is what the QR code uses) and in its internal archive for up to 1 year. Then it is deleted. If you ask us to delete your documents, we ourselves ask Success to delete them too; you do not need to contact anyone else.

6. Your rights

You can ask us at any time for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your documents before the 4 months. Email service@translate24.io from the order’s email address and include your order code.

7. Security

  • Each order and each download opens only with a signed link that cannot be guessed.
  • Files are stored encrypted, in private storage with no public access.
  • Your connection to the site is always encrypted (HTTPS).

8. Minors

The service is purchased by an adult. If we translate documents of minors, it is at the request of their parent or legal representative.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with its date.
